The Chinese Number System
Chinese numerology is a system deeply rooted in Eastern culture and philosophy. It combines the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) with numbers 1 to 9, creating a unique vibratory map. Each number has a specific meaning and numbers are interpreted differently depending on context.

🐉 Chinese Triadic Ring
Chinese numerology uses the "Triadic Ring" which combines the birth date with the Chinese zodiac, creating a 60-year cycle combining 10 Heavenly Stems and 12 Earthly Branches. Each combination has a unique meaning that influences personality and destiny.
The Lo Shu system and the magic square
Classical Chinese numerology is based on the Lo Shu, a 3x3 magic square where every row, column, and diagonal sums to 15. Numbers are assigned to cardinal positions and elements: 1=Water-North, 2=Earth-Southwest, 3=Wood-East, 4=Wood-Southeast, 5=Earth-Center, 6=Metal-Northwest, 7=Metal-West, 8=Earth-Northeast, 9=Fire-South. The birth date is placed in the square and present and absent numbers are analyzed.
Most common applications
Feng Shui (home orientation according to the personal Kua number), choosing auspicious dates for important events (marriage, business opening, moving), compatibility analysis by zodiac year, reading of license plates or phone numbers. It is very practical and action-oriented for daily life.
What is unique to the Chinese system
"Favorable" and "unfavorable" numbers have a linguistic basis (4 sounds like "death" in Mandarin, 8 like "prosperity"). This is phonetic and cultural, not directly transferable to English. If you live in the West, the system remains useful for dates and feng shui, but it should be contextualized accordingly.
